Software that supports the books instead of disrupting them.
Hata Advising helps contractors and manufacturers set up, integrate, and migrate the systems that feed their accounting. The work connects operational workflows to the ledger so customers, items, job costs, revenue, deposits, and opening balances move cleanly from one system to the next.
Platforms include ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, FieldEdge, Service Fusion, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Sage 100 & 300, QuickBooks Online, and QuickBooks Desktop.

How It Fits the Engagement
The system changes. The accounting still has to work.
The software provider is responsible for the platform. Hata is responsible for how the platform affects the books. We work alongside the client team and implementation partner to define accounting requirements, make data decisions, test the workflow, and reconcile the results.
Hata serves on the client’s side of the table, bringing finance and accounting oversight from planning through the first clean month-end.
What the Service Covers
From a system checkup to a full platform move.

For ERP projects, Hata can also support system selection, current-state discovery, item and BOM design, implementation partner management, testing, cutover planning, and go-live oversight.
What Clients Receive
A controlled cutover and books that tie.
Each engagement is led by a CPA and coordinated with the client’s team and software partner.
Contractors and Manufacturers in Transition
One system change, one financial picture.
Home services companies outgrowing their first CRM, contractors moving between field service platforms, and manufacturers moving from QuickBooks to an ERP. These engagements are appropriate when the system change affects job costing, inventory, revenue recognition, customer balances, deposits, or the month-end close.
How Systems Engagements Run
Four steps from discovery to the first clean close.

1. Discovery. We document the current systems, operational workflows, accounting structure, reports, and known problems.
2. Design and planning. We define the source of truth, account and item mapping, historical data approach, data cutoff, testing plan, and project responsibilities.
3. Testing and parallel close. The implementation partner configures the platform. Hata tests transaction paths, reconciles the outputs, and confirms the opening balances.
4. Cutover and handoff. We support go-live, complete the first clean close, document the final workflow, and train the office team.
