An add-on for CFO and accounting clients.
Hata Advising provides tax planning and preparation services designed to help individuals and businesses make informed financial decisions throughout the year. Our proactive approach helps identify opportunities, prepare for upcoming tax obligations, and reduce surprises when filing season arrives.

How It Fits the Engagement
Same books, same calendar, one more service.
A preparer who first sees your numbers in February can only report what happened. Tax work at Hata starts from books we maintain all year, so the plan is built on current data and the return simply executes decisions that were made on time.
Planning, elections, and estimates are handled by Hata. Preparation and filing are completed by licensed preparers we manage, under our review.

What the Add-On Covers
Business and personal, planned as one picture.

Return coverage includes the business filings and the owner returns that ride on them. For clients in a transaction, we model the tax side of the deal: asset versus stock treatment, purchase price allocation, and the after-tax result of the structure on the table.
What Clients Receive
A calendar, not just a filing.
Planning sessions run mid-year and in the fourth quarter.

The Business and the Owner, Together
One tax picture instead of two.

Offered to companies already working with Hata on CFO or accounting engagements. For owner-operated businesses, the company return and the personal return are two halves of the same outcome. If your K-1 lands on your own 1040, planning them separately means planning neither.

1. Onboarding review. We read the prior two or three returns against the books and flag missed elections, structure issues, and carryforwards.
2. Planning calendar. Quarterly estimates, a mid-year projection, and a fourth-quarter planning session go on the schedule up front.
3. Year-end execution. The moves that matter get settled before December 31, while they still count: election deadlines, asset timing, owner pay, and accrual positions.
4. Filing and follow-through. Our filing team prepares the returns, we check them against the plan before they go out, and next year’s estimates are set from the final numbers.
